I couldn't help but take a moment to sit and write this to you all. In the past week I have read more and heard more beaurocratic BS than on needs to hear in a life time. I attempt to stay current with national affairs, international affairs and such but for the most part I try to keep current with what is happening in the "good ol' US of A". *cough cough* I am going to enclose a link that I want you all to take the time to not only read but act upon as well. You will find a way to vote on this story, send a letter to the congressman, etc.... Please take a few minutes to click and read this next link:
Military denied benefits
I have also included the link to Congressman Nunes website where you can show your support in this ongoing battle as well: Nunes.gov
Now to add even more to you. I recently learned of a friend that has been denied medical benefits by her employer and only allowed to only work "part-time" because of her medical condition. Basically the practice did not hire her full time, even though she clocked full-time hours, to avoid having to pay her medical premiums for insurance. Thank God she has moved on to a career that will allow her to obtain benefits and the medical coverage she rightfully deserves.
Even in times of today after 9/11 when we were all suppose to "Come together" and return to the "Basics of America" we find greed in our daily lives. Thoughts of perversion, hatred, and abuse, even acts of cruelty and irrational behavior. This is a time when we all need to find the word of God and those times when we need to take that extra moment we have in the morning or that few minutes we find in the evening to bow our heads, close our eyes, clasp our hands and simply pray. Pray for those around you, those in your life, those you do not even know. Just a few minutes a day will change you for the rest of your life.
May God Bless you all.
