Its Raining, Its Monday, I am Stressed

I walked out the door at 5am this morning to a cold damp Monday morning. My sinuses are clogged, I didnt sleep well, its cold, and I have a long day ahead. Seems to be "run-of-the-mill" lately. (nice photo from the parking lot with my phone). I wasn't sure which part of the day I should tackle first. God provides each of us with a path that we must navigate. The rain... Thank you Mother Nature we need it.... but might you move it south to Georgia for the day... Please? The cold..... Its almost December guess I should not be surprised. As far as the stress is concerned... I prayed, twice, thinking of giving it one more shot. Add me to your prayer lists. I think I am going to need it. So if I provide you with anything here is a list of things on how to manage YOUR stress for the day:(photo number 2 with the phone)

1. Take a break. Go for a walk, take in a movie.
2. Try to get a good night’s sleep tonight.
3. Get some help where you need it. For example, if you are caring for children or an older parent, arrange for a friend or relative to fill in for you once in a while.
4. Look at your lifestyle. Try to find ways to avoid, alter or accept what is causing you stress.
5. Enjoy regular, moderate physical activity.
6. Use relaxation techniques such as deep breathing or stretching exercises.
7. Be patient. Don’t try to do more than one thing at a time. Prioritize what you have to do.
8. Learn to say "no"
9. Put a little fun into your day. Do something you enjoy, like gardening, dancing or sports.
10. Share your problems with others. A new perspective can help you see things in a new light.
11. Eat a healthy, balanced diet that is high in whole grains, vegetables and fruit, and low in fat.(for ideas check out the link to your right for Fat Giraffe Bakery or click here lol)
12. Consider seeking help from a professional to help with your efforts to reduce stress (examples include a registered dietitian, a certified fitness leader or your doctor).

Have a great day!!!!!

Reflection

Good morning to all of you. It has been awhile, my schedule has been hectic and my blog has all but died. I hope in the coming days to make an attempt to revitalize its content and strive to post again. Enjoy.

In the everyday continuance in striving to accomplish one more thing we tend to set aside the more important things: Family, Friends, Life, and Love. Each of these has a diverse effect on which we are today and even a greater influence on who we will become tomorrow.

If you were to ask me who of those 4 was the most important to me it would be a no-holds-barred ‘Family” decision. 2nd? Well who could argue that friends would not be the decision made here? It seems like a mathematical equation- bit if you were to have the first two they will give you the last two. Our friends and family provide us with the life and love we all search to feel within our hearts.

With all that said it is amazingly so how these people whom we come to know and love so dearly, catch us completely off guard at even the simplest of life’s offerings. Without ever attaching a name to such a title- such a title can carry a big name. We can reflect back and realize that thus far our whole lives have been spent surrounded by friends. We cry together, laugh together, share each others good and bad, expose our deepest of secrets and even know what the other is going to say before the concept is compiled. And yet through it all, no matter what the other has become or done, we love that person just the same today and even more tomorrow.

There is a world out there to explore. Everything for the conservatory and nature to the theater, the ballet, and even our neighbors’ backyards. From cups of coffee, to a simple bottle of water there are lots of things to do. Nothing formal, no expectations, just people learning more about the others hopes, dreams, and ideals.

Have a great day,

barry
