Fear This!

Good morning to all of you. Been a few days since I have posted anything. Just one of those "schedule conflicts" I have had. I wanted to bring something to the table I know many of us struggle with in our lives and I have been having trouble within mine lately. That is....... overcoming fear.

I am speaking from getting out of your comfort zone, to managing a past issue either from and experience in a relationship or in general life, to just doing something irrational and new for you. I have always thought a person is only as strong or weak as his or her mind. If our mind is incapacitated with fears and doubts, we are paralysed. But, if the mind is strengthened with faith and convictions, we are capable of achieving miracles! I was cleaning out my desk the other day and I come across a passage I use to have posted where I utilized it as a daily reminder for myself. How it fell into the drawer I am not sure. From 2 Corinthians 1:3-7 the passage reads:

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 5 For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.

I feel those words ring so true in our lives today. To help support that cognitively and more importantly with myself, we as a society need to reestablish positive thinking and begin to generate positive attitudes, responses and feelings, which in turn draw the blue print for our success. On the other hand, negative attitudes, full of fear, doubt and worry, reinforce negative behaviour. But we can empty our mind of such thoughts and feed them with positive information. Replace fear with faith, doubt with determination, worry with work and hate with love.

If you love the life you live, you will live a life of love

May God Bless each of you this day and every day. Until next time.... Peace

So well described....

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families,
more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor.

We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things. We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill.

It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete.

Remember, spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, I love you to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again. Give time to love, give time to speak, and give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER: Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Identity Theft....

A very special friend of mine (thank you Tamela)shared with me this morning the sermon she had layed her ears upon in service and she felt I would benefit from its words. The beautiful thing about the world today is technology. I was able to go the the website her church has created and there I was able to find the mP3 download of today's service. The discussion today was one that almost everyone in the world can relate to in some way, shape, or form. You here it one the news, you see insurance companies and financial institutions now offering protection from it, and now the minister is delivering the message as well...... Identity Theft. Entertaining enough those same two words can be understood in several different forms. You can have your social security number removed from your mailbox, your desk, or even form your wallet. You can have your tax statements pulled directly form the state website when someone irresponsibly manages data unsecurely (don't give it to the intern for you local folks!) Yet one other way you can lose your identity is through yourself.

Yes having your identity stolen, credit cards created, and banks accounts wiped is a hurdle to overcome. Been there, had it happen to me. Yet after listening to the message today I realize that the identity I have lost today is far greater than what I lost some 6 years ago. Through decisions I have made I have begun to lose who I am. That "balance" in life some of you will understand (Yes Ms Brooke I know, I know). I have begun to lose who I am in response to my family, my time with them and where I fall in that chapter of life. I have lost identity with my friends. Always trying to achieve and become more successful in the ventures I have taken on have consumed me in time leaving very little for the rest. During my strive for the greater of what makes me who I am, Jealous of my friend Corey and his movie night... I have lost time for myself and what makes me who I am........ a successful company, a few great accounts, and an intelligent business partner...... What happen to family, friends, happiness and love.. Ephesians 3:17 says That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love. I was so exhausted with work over the past two weeks that I was not able to make worship service this morning... Identity Theft?

So as you move forward in your lives stop to see if you have become a victim of Identity Theft. Have you lost your time with your family for who you have become today, are you still the same person to your children you were when they came into your life, have you taken the time to tell your neighbor "Hi" and ask about their day? Are you who you want to be or has your schedule, your career, your current goals, transformed you into someone you are not........

Take Care. May God Bless You All.......

The Mayan Calendar - Welcome to evolution 2012

One of the interesting links I found to support my previous post. There are several videos on the web, in the store, and within lectures across America should you be interested in our "End Times"

Codes......

It seems if you think about it we have had "codes" forever. Remember when you were little and you had the famous decoder ring...... If you Google "codes" you result to searches on HTML codes, area codes, WWII codes, and now the ever famous discussion regarding Bible Codes. I was watching a documentary today regarding Bible codes which gave me the need to write this post. Are the Bible codes real? Have they been able to provide us information regarding the "End Times" though text had been written some thousands of years prior to date?

Or is it simply coincidental that these codes can randomly be found through out the text of His word and can be directly related to our current events of today? There are several articles out there regarding these insights. I am interested to take the time to complete a bit of research and find out what is being mentioned. I have found articles on the recent and famous Equidistant Letter Sequences which has been used more in recent times for mass decoding of text form chapters of the bible and allowed them to link such hidden code found within the text to be directly related to current events such as 9/11, War on Iraq, Hurricane Katrina, and even the events on the UniBomber. If these such codes are found to be true we are in our end times. There are books scientifically describing the "End Times" such as The Mystery of 2012. You can search the internet and scripture to find such information as:

Matthew 24:7 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes."

More people have been killed in warfare in this century than at any other time in history. As the death toll rises in the Middle East, more and more countries work feverishly to develop devastating weapons of mass destruction. Add to that the expanding threat of terrorism and unpredictable dictators such as Saddam Hussein, and the potential for the outbreak of war exists in nations, kingdoms and places across the globe.

What are your thoughts regarding the "End Times"? Do you believe this is the Coming of Christ or scientifically have we lead ourselves to self destruction?

Hello to all of you

I wanted to take some time to say hello to each of you who have taken the time to navigate to my blog and see what it is about. As some of you know I enjoy writing about surroundings as I witness them, I like to create conversation that allows each of us to interact with one another on a higher level, and I like to take the time to learn from each of you regarding different intervals of your life.

There is a universe of information out there that very few of us take the time to gain from. We seem tied to our everyday lives, the hustle and bustle, and the thoughts of "Keeping up with the Jones' " . Do we take the time for what is really important... God, our family, those friends, and of course time for ourselves? Most of you will probably answer with "no". It is OK. We all can agree self imporvement and self actualization is something many of us tend to shy from. Are we afraid of what we really may find or do we even care?

Dr Abraham Maslov wrote "A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be at peace with himself. What a man can be, he must be. This is the need we may call self-actualization ... It refers to man'sdesire for fulfillment, namely to the tendency for him to become actually in what he is potentially: to become everything that one is capable of becoming .... "

I hope we can have some fun with it.... God Bless
